The Walk-On Mentality is the mindset that there are no limits to what we can accomplish when we have faith, extreme confidence, and work relentlessly to achieve our goals.
The Walk-On Mentality is more than a mindset, it is a transformative approach that empowers you to maximize your full potential.
The Walk-On Mentality was born through Jackson’s experience playing college football. Jackson was recruited by a couple of small schools, but had a dream of playing what he considered “big time D1 football.”
He made the decision to bet on himself and walk-on at Southern Methodist University where he ended his career as a 4-year letterman, 2-year starter, and team captain. He was also the winner of the Work-Ethic Award, and nominated for the Burlsworth Trophy, which is awarded to the best college football player who started their career as a walk-on.
After hanging up the cleats, The Walk-On Mentality became about maximizing his potential professionally which he still strives to do every day.
The Walk-On Mentality is applicable across all categories of our lives, and Jackson’s goal is to inspire as many people as he can achieve their goals and operate with the same mentality.
No limits.
Hello, I’m Jackson Mitchell.
My mission is to inspire anyone I come into contact with to maximize their full potential in both personal and professional domains.
From the start of my career I knew I wanted to help people. I wasn’t sure how, but I knew that I had a call to serve.
I learned about about Medical Device Sales a couple years into my career and quickly made it my mission to break into this incredible industry.
Throughout my career in device I’ve had success selling hardware, capital equipment and disposables, software, and services to a variety of stakeholders in the healthcare environment from surgeons to the executive suite.
I’m passionate about making a positive impact, helping others, and being the best I possibly can at the role I play in changing the lives of patients in the OR.
What I’ve found in my career is that alignment is everything. Aligning your skills and gifts with the work that you do. Alignment in the context of team members being on the same page. Alignment of what you say you want with what you do on a daily basis. It’s critical.
I founded The Walk-On Mentality, LLC in 2020 to represent this belief and to inspire others to create this type of alignment in their personal and professional lives.
Prior to my professional career I walked on to the football team at SMU, earned a scholarship, and finished my career as a Captain, 2-year starter, 4-year letterman, and Burlsworth Trophy Nominee who helped turn the culture of the organization. Today I explore my physical limits through training for marathons, triathlons, Hyrox, and other fitness competitions.
I deeply believe that there are no limits to what we can accomplish when we have faith, confidence, and are willing to put in the work necessary to achieve our goals. My goal is that anyone I come into contact with would adopt the same mentality in all that they do.
No limits.
