THE WALK-ON MENTALITY

The Walk-On Mentality is more than just a mindset, it is truly a transformative approach to all areas of life that will allow you to remove self-imposed limitations and maximize your full potential.

The origin story dates back to Jackson’s childhood, but he began to build The Walk-On Mentality Performance Methodology based on his experience playing college football. Jackson was recruited by a couple of small schools, but had a dream to play what he considered to be “big time D1 football.” Given this dream, he ultimately made the decision to take a risk, bet on himself, and walk-on at Southern Methodist University. Jackson ended his career as a 4-year letterman, 2-year starter, and team captain nominated for the Burlsworth Trophy which is awarded to the best college football player who started their career as a walk-on. A walk-on is someone who tries out for the team because they are not given a scholarship.

This experience was the first of many times that Jackson bet on himself and was pleased with the results of operating with The Walk-On Mentality.

After college sports, Jackson continued operating with this approach throughout the duration of his career. He earned and excelled in roles that he was “under-qualified” for, led peers and more junior employees, and ultimately started The Walk-On Mentality all because he had an unwavering belief in what is possible with the right mindset, a plan, and a relentless work-ethic and drive to achieve your goals, and more importantly, to help others experience the same.

He has also applied the same approach to marathons, triathlons, Hyrox, and other fitness competitions.

The Walk-On Mentality is applicable across all categories of our lives, and Jackson’s goal is to provide as many people and organizations as possible with the systems and mindset to maximize their full potential.

No limits.
